Exeter Crews Make Quick Stop to Ptarmigan Drive Fire

Exeter Township Fire Department crews and automatic aid companies were dispatched to Ptarmigan Drive in Exeter Township for a reported structure fire Monday afternoon. Deputy 25-2 arrived on location and confirmed a working fire and assumed command. Rescue Engine 25 and Tower 25 arrived on scene and went into service with an aggressive fire attack. A Busy Week for the ETFD

Members Participate in Final Company Burn of 2024

Members took part in the final live burn session for 2024 at the Berks County Fire Training Center this past Saturday. Teams focused on different fire ground activities, including fire attack, incident command, RIT and search. Members are required to participate in a structure burn each year to maintain their interior-qualified status.

Members Attend Celebration of Life, Respond to Two-Vehicle Crash

Our daytime staff kept busy Friday, starting the day off with a flag arch at Forest Hills Memorial Park celebrating the life of Kenhorst Fire Company Capt. John Garbini. As that detail was wrapping up, crews were then dispatched to 6400 Perkiomen Ave. (in front of Service Electric) for a two-vehicle crash with entrapment. Crews Extinguish Overnight Deck Fire

Crews were dispatched at 2:45 a.m. Friday to the 500 block of Manor Place for a reported deck fire. Upon arrival, there was a small fire remaining after the resident tried to put it out with an extinguisher. The remaining fire was quickly extinguished. Crews were on scene for about an hour. Drivers Complete Advanced Aerial Practices Course

Four ETFD Members Complete State Fire Training Program

Congratulations to Firefighters Chloe Wright, Ben Thrush, Chase Webb and Chase Painter for successfully completing Pennsylvania's entry level fire training curriculum (mods). The group completed more than 200 hours of training over the past several months, culminating with their Structural Burn Session this past weekend.
