Fire Devastates Home on Monday

The ETVFD and mutual aid units were alerted to a home on fire on Monday just before 1:00pm. Upon arrival Deputy Chief Lessig reported fire showing from the second floor and requested two additional tankers be added to the assignment. Mutual aid from from Amity Fire Company, Birdsboro-Union Fire Department, Cumru Township Fire Department, Earl Township Fire Company, Gibraltar Fire Company, Lower Alsace Fire Company, Monarch Fire Company, Mount Penn Fire Company and Oley Fire Company assisted with operations at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Exeter Township Fire Marshal's Office. There were no injuries.
