Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department junior member Codey Eshenaur has been immersed in the world of fire service from a young age. As a child, he would often accompany his father to the fire station, where he began to form lasting relationships with the department's members.
“I like being a volunteer with the Exeter Township Fire Department because it’s another family to me,” says Codey. “It’s somewhere you can call home while helping your community, and everyone helps you get where you want to be.”
Now in his third year as a junior member at ETVFD, Codey has been a part of the department for several years. He continues to take on new challenges and opportunities to help others.
Codey is currently an 11th-grade student at Exeter Township High School. Despite his busy schedule as a student and a junior firefighter, he enjoys spending his free time outdoors. “I like to go hunting and fishing, and in the summer, I love going to the beach with my family in Delaware. It’s a tradition we have every year,” he added.
Outside of his outdoor hobbies, Codey has a fun and unique experience to his name: he was fortunate enough to scuba dive at the Epcot Aquarium at Disney World. “It was an amazing experience,” he said.
As he continues his journey with the fire department, he remains committed to learning, growing and serving his community. |
