The Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department and automatic aid partners were dispatched to the 500 block of Pineland Road in Exeter Township just after 5:30 p.m. Thursday for a structure fire.
Exeter and Monarch Fire Crews arrived on scene and immediately went into service with a hoseline to work on stopping the progression of the wind-driven fire. Rescue Engine 25’s crew, with the support of Engine 7’s crew, simultaneously pulled a second line to help with suppression, while Tower 25 established a position to perform roof operations.
Crews made a great stop on the fire in spite of challenging conditions to prevent further spread of the fire throughout the house. Extensive overhaul was needed and crews cleared the scene in just over three hours.
Rescue Engine 25, Tower 25, Engine Tanker 25, Tanker 25 and Rescue 25 made the response. Thank you to all of the agencies that assisted on this incident. |
