The high winds kept the Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department busy throughout the day Sunday. Crews were dispatched to a total of 38 calls, ranging from downed wires and trees to more serious incidents, such as a vehicle crash with entrapment in Robeson Township where a tree fell on an SUV on Main Street. A similar situation happened on the 1000 block of Shelbourne Road in Exeter Township with a tree falling on two vehicles. As the wind is beginning to die down crews continue to respond to downed wire and tree calls around the area Monday. A big thank you to local municipality maintenance crews for working tirelessly to clear trees, branches and other debris from the roadways.
