Some times we do luck out with beautiful weather for training and Saturday was an example of that. We had two training sessions running during the day on Saturday.

The first was the final session of a Pump operator class which the ETVFD hosted in house. This session was at the Berks County Fire Training Center. Along with our members, participants came from from Birdsboro Union Fire Department, Fleetwood Fire Company, Geigertown Fire Company, Kenhorst Fire Company and Oley Fire Company. This class is the initial class for operating a fire pump which many agencies require in order to becoming a driver.

Another group of our members was out on the Schuylkill River working with the Berks County Zone 5/6 Water Rescue Task Force. Crews launched from the Ganshahawny Park in Douglass Township. Crews from ETVFD and Keystone Water Rescue Inc. practiced boats operations.
