This week was another very busy week for The Exeter Township Fire Department. The department responded to 35 emergency calls. Crews responded to incidents ranging from working Structure Fires, Vehicle Fires, Automatic Fire Alarms, etc. Some of the calls The ETFD responded to were
- Automatic Fire Alarm (Jacksonwald Elementary on 4/9) - Vehicle Fire (Kerr Road 4/10) - 2nd Alarm Structure Fire (Mt. Penn Borough 4/10) - 2nd Alarm Structure Fire (Cumru Twp on 4/11) - Motor Vehicle Accident with Fire (I-176 on 4/12) - Structure Fire (Amity Township on 4/14)
In between incidents, crews took time to train and prepare for the upcoming company burn. Training on the fundamentals, even for the most experienced firefighter, is key to keeping an individual ready for when they need to take what they have trained on and apply it in a real-life situation.
