Just before 5:00 AM on Saturday morning, ETVFD units along with mutual aid from Mount Penn Fire Company, Lower Alsace Fire Company, City of Reading Fire Department, Birdsboro Union Fire Department, West Reading Fire Department and Shillington Fire Department were dispatched to a house fire in the Reiffton section of the township.

Crews placed the fire under control within 30 minutes of dispatch. The home sustained significant damage and the fire is under investigation by the Exeter Township Fire Marshal's Office. ETVFD units cleared the scene around 7:00 AM.
