This has been a busy week for the ETVFD with many incident throughout the area.

Monday afternoon traffic was snarled for awhile as Perkiomen Avenue was closed near Lorane Road due to a multivehicle accident.

In the early hours of Thursday morning crews responded to Oley to provide additional staffing on a house fire in the 500 block of Manatawny Road. There was a tanker shuttle setup to provide water. They are no fire hydrants in the vicinity and water had to be brought to the scene.

Thursday evening the City of Reading had a fire in the 600 block of S. 9th Street in an abandoned factory. ETVFD members responded with staffing as well as the Tower Ladder which was used to provide an elevated water stream to attack the fire.
