Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning kept ETVFD crews extremely busy. The night began with the department's weekly training, which continued a focus on ground ladders and hose lines. As training was wrapping up, members were dispatched to a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Perkiomen Avenue (Route 422 East) and Lorane Road. Upon arrival, crews found a significant crash scene with entrapment and injuries. Fire command quickly activated a Level 1 Mass Casualty response to ensure there were adequate resources to support the response. Crews were on scene from around 9:30 p.m. until they were fully released at 1:30 a.m. Roughly 45 minutes later, crews were dispatched to the 1100 block of Deer Run for a structure fire. Arriving crews found a small exterior fire that was quickly extinguished. |
