Part-Time Firefighters

The Exeter Township Fire Department, Berks County, Pennsylvania is always accepting letters of interest to establish an employment eligibility list and is seeking experienced candidates interested in the position(s) of Part-Time Firefighter.

The Exeter Township Fire Department is a combination department that provides fire and QRS services.

Qualifications

Be at least 21 years of age; must possess a high school diploma or GED; must be able to speak, read, and write the English language; must possess a valid Pennsylvania drivers License (at time of hire); must possess a current EVOC, Hazmat Operations, VRT, EMR/EMT, and Pro Board Firefighter I certification. Candidates with emergency vehicle driving experience are preferred. Candidate must meet physical fitness requirements as established by the Department.

Additional requirements due at time of interview:

• PennDOT Driving History
• PSP Criminal Background Check
• PA Child Abuse Clearance
