Only a couple hours after clearing the garage fire in Mt. Penn borough Exeter fire was dispatched to 23’s area (Robeson Twp) for a report of a house on fire. Engine 25 and tower 25 made the initial response for the box alarm. En-route the call was quickly upgraded to a working fire and was sent to a 2nd alarm, this brought in Engine tanker 25 and Rescue 25 as well. Engine 25 was arrived as the 3rd due engine, and picked up the split lay from rescue engine 23. The total split lay was roughly 1800 ft to the fire scene. The crews were hindered do to the long narrow driveway, heavy shrubbery and arching power lines right above the fire. Multiple attack lines were placed in service to attempt to contain the fire. The structure was an expanded and modified trailer home with a salvage yard out back consisting of and not limited to pallets, tires, and ply wood stacks. Exeter fire crews operated on scene for about 5 and a half hours before going available with the county.
