A little before 1645 on Thursday afternoon Exeter fire was dispatched along with company 1 to Boscovs for a general fire alarm. While en-route to the fire alarm company 25 was double tapped for an accident with unknown injuries in the area of Boyertown Pike and Wood Ln. Rescue 25 was redirected to the accident while company 1 handled the fire alarm at Boscovs. Assistant chief 19 was in the area of the accident at the time of dispatch and gave the initial report of 1 vehicle into a tree with 1 patient heavily trapped. After the report of entrapment was given city rescue 1 was added to the rescue assignment along with county ladder 1. Crews went into service immediately with rescue tools to free the patient who had been pinned under the dash of the car. Crews made quick work of the extrication and the patient was transported to a local trauma center for treatment.
