In the early afternoon hours of the 15th of December company 25 was dispatched to the 100 Blk of Killian Dr in Robeson Twp (23’s area) for a report of a house on fire. Engine 25 and Tower 25 made the response on the initial alarm as the 4th due engine and the 2nd due truck. Engine 25 arrived right behind the 1st in engine followed by the tower. The engines crew split into 2 teams, one assisted the first in engine with the primary attack line on side A with an aggressive interior attack to the 2nd floor, while the second team advanced a secondary line to the C side of the building. The truck crew assisted both teams with the handlines. After the initial attack was made command called for the 2nd alarm and evacuated the building due deteriorating conditions inside of the structure. The 2nd alarm brought in engine tanker 25 to the scene. The fire was brought under control in about 45 minutes. Extensive overhaul was needed and crews remained on scene for roughly 3 hours before being cleared and returning to service.
